Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) Trivandrum will be conducting an admission test for its B Tech Programmes in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics and Physical Sciences. Seat reservation in their admission conforms with Central Government reservation policy. The details of the test, the admission process, and instructions on how to apply, will appear in news papers and on their web page soon.
Previously selection was made through the IIT JEE
The present IIST admission test will be similar to other all India engineering entrance tests. Questions will be of the objective type and there will be two sessions of two hours duration each. It will be based mainly on the CBSE Syllabus of 11th and 12th standards for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The test will be conducted in the third weekend of April, 2010 in several centers across the country.
ISAT 2010 Online Registration will start after the Second Week of December 2009
The IIST will offer M Tech courses in the following four context relevant state of the art branches in Space Technology. It is reported that these are expenses covered job assured programmes
1. Adaptive and Applied Optics,
2. Soft Computing and Machine Learning,
3. Radio Frequency and Microwave Systems
4. Chemical Systems
Exchange programmes will be conducted for students and Faculty with premier institutions in Europe and the United States
